Neighbourhood journal
Tây Hồ or Ba Đình? Start with your everyday route
A practical way to compare two search areas without assuming every street offers the same experience.

Landmarks are a starting point
- Hanoi’s culture department introduces West Lake and the One Pillar Pagoda among the city’s landmarks. Those names can help orient a search, but the experience of living nearby depends on the particular street and building.
Walk the neighbourhood, not just the apartment
- Choose one or two available homes in each area and walk the surrounding streets. Check the route to your usual destinations, where you would buy groceries, building access and the noise you notice during your visit.
- View at a time that reflects your routine where possible. Ask about access hours, parking, lifts and pet arrangements for the specific unit. Keep observations tied to a listing ID rather than generalising an entire neighbourhood.
Keep the comparison fair
- Compare similar bedroom counts, furniture and included services. Save your favourites, record what you still need to confirm and ask the team about the exact homes you want to revisit.
